Restrooms at Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree
Are there restrooms at the Rockefeller Center Christmas tree?
Not on the plaza where the tree is. There are restrooms one level down on the concourse, the same level as the skating rink. They're free.
How do I get to the restrooms under Rockefeller Center?
Down one level. Stairs and escalators run down from the lobbies of the buildings around the plaza. There are also elevators at street level on either side of the rink. The restrooms are down there by the food.
Are the Rockefeller Center restrooms open as late as the tree?
Not reliably. The tree stays lit until midnight. The concourse below it is a weekday shopping and lunch level, so it quiets down in the evening and not every way down stays open.
Where's the nearest restroom to the Rockefeller Center tree late at night?
The Apple store on Fifth Avenue at 56th Street is open around the clock. Its restroom is accessible and has a changing table. That's about six blocks north. Closer in, the stores and restaurants on Fifth Avenue have their own, though whether you need to buy something will vary by business.
Are there restrooms at the Rockefeller Center tree lighting?
No, not inside the barricades. The streets around the plaza close in the afternoon and everyone entering goes through a bag check. Stepping out for a restroom means coming back in through the screening.
Are there accessible restrooms at the Rockefeller Center Christmas tree?
We can't tell you which of the concourse restrooms are accessible. At Top of the Rock every public restroom has a wheelchair accessible stall. That one needs a ticket. Tap the ADA filter to see what's near you.
